Moderator: Manon BREZAULT
Awakening body through the
yoga techniques allows children, who already have a natural flexibility, to
keep fitness but also to gain balance, coordination and a self-control that
help us to concentrate and calm themselves. Throughout the sessions, children
acquire automatisms of relaxation that they can reuse when they feel the need.
Presented in a fun way, the
sessions will introduce the postures through games and imagination (especially
based on references to animals and nature of the postures, "the cat
stretch," "the mountain", "the tree," "the dog
upside down").
Each session will consist
of three phases:
- a first phase to help each
child to find the calm before beginning the activity,
- a second active phase of
exercises and body postures,
- a last phase of relaxation,
breathing and visualization.
