School library

Our school library has roughly 5000 books. Most of them are in French, but we do have a number of books in English and Finnish as well.
Each year, we add new books to our collection.
The books range from toddlers' books to high school pupils' books.

Each pupil will have access to the library at least once a week, to borrow books and take them home. The library is also used with the teachers for a number of projects, and for story times.
Our library is a peaceful area for kids to encourage them to read and learn; it is a very important tool for our school.

Borrowing :

Documents cannot leave our library without being registered first.
Pupils are asked to return books after a week, except in case of specific school projects.
Dictionnaries, encyclopedias and comic books cannot be borrowed.
Children are asked to take care of the library books and to return them in good condition. Lost books or damaged books will have to be reimbursed.

Etiquette

The library is used by all to work, and therefore it should be a peaceful area.
Drinks and food are not allowed in the library.
